LOVE CENTERED MOVEMENT
Love is not only an emotion but also a force that transforms the body on a cellular level. The vibratory frequency of love flows through the body and activates/deactivates certain protein strands, allowing the DNA to turn on more protein markers and engage with the world and bodies within it. This perspective on love emphasizes its potential for expanding our genetic resources and enabling us to connect with others in a more profound way.
By utilizing an affective framework, we can better understand how to orient ourselves toward love, and then use this framework to approach madness and the Mad with reverence and holiness. By acknowledging the transformative power of love, we can create a space for individuals who experience madness to be seen and valued beyond the limitations of rationality.
By embracing an affective love framework, we can recognize that love is not simply a personal emotion but also a state of being that allows us to connect with others and the world in a meaningful way. This approach is particularly important when it comes to Mad identities and culture, where love has been historically absent or criminalized. By centering love in the community, we can begin to explore madness without rationality dictating value and worth, and instead create a space where individuals who experience madness are valued and understood. Through this process, we can develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
